1893 Xi Best Year

Yesterday the women of the Nu chapter of Alpha Xi Delta as well as alums were able to gather together at The Loft At Russel’s in Bothell to celebrate our chapters founding. Washington blessed us with a beautiful day, countless pictures were taken, and the venue was a charming wooden barn. It was lovely to be able to celebrate the chapter that has brought so much into each and every one of our lives and I know we are all incredibly thankful to our founders. It was a day filled with good conversation, good food, remembering sisters who are no longer with us, and also recognizing both current members and alumnae with awards for different achievements. To say the least, it was a beautiful day and well worth the time to celebrate our chapter. Thank you so much to those who put in the effort and time to make yesterday so successful!

Stop And Smell Xi Roses (Cherry Blossoms)

Welcome Back Xisters! Spring Quarter is finally here and I know I couldn’t be more excited! We’ve made it through the gloomiest days of WA’s weather and sunny days and warm weather are right around the corner. UW seems to come back to life in the Spring, country music along Greek Row, throwing footballs in the median, laying outside in the sunshine, makes me excited just writing about it!

Anyways, I just wanted to welcome you all back and I hope your Spring Breaks were full of relaxation! Don’t get to silly during syllabus week:) Spring Quarter here we come!

3,2,1 BOUNCE

Who doesn’t like to take a break from reality and feel like a kid again? Friday night, ended up being an extremely successful and fun GAD at 3,2,1 Bounce. There were bouncy castles, slides, air hockey, dodgeball, you name it! Heading into dead week, it was a perfect last event to relieve us from stress and give us a break from our studies. It truly was a blast, and I know we all want to say thank you to everyone who made it possible and helped run things smoothly. Now you’ll find us all hunkered down and studying for the next two weeks…Wish us luck!

Extend The Family? Why Not?

Remembering the joy of receiving your big or little always brings back sentimental memories. Personally aside from Bid Day, BSR is one of my favorite memories at Alpha Xi Delta. Last night, many girls and alumnae decided to extend their families by receiving an aunt or a niece. Similar to BSR my sisters and I hurried to open gifts from our unknown aunts and put on our costumes that would match our aunts waiting right upstairs in our formal living room. It was such a joy to see girls running into their aunts arms (myself included) smiling and laughing, incredibly excited to add on to our families. I know my sisters and I currently in the chapter are so excited to call an alumnae member an aunt, and look forward to the close relationship it will hopefully form. I know the alum are incredibly excited as well to feel closer to the chapter and even more involved with the girls currently in it. This is an exciting time! Take advantage of this relationship and be thankful for it! And remember we are family:) I got all my sisters, and aunts, and me…!

My Wing-Women For Life

It’s been a week now since we opened our beautiful doors and hosted our annual Alpha Xi Delta Wing Feed. What a blast it was! It only happens a few times a year when we all get to be together in the same space, dancing in our formal living room to the music, taking pictures, laughing, it’s such a sweet memory to hold onto. While it was incredibly fun to hang out with our friends, and other members from different sororities and fraternities, eating our delicious chicken wings (which were all gone by the end of the night!), it ended up being a very successful night for Alpha Xi Delta. We raised over $800, in which all of those funds will go to Cancer for College. While it was an amusing night, it is also important to remember why we do these events, and be thankful that we are apart of an organization that can raise money for such amazing causes.

So, thank you to all of you for putting in so much effort in making the Wing Feed such a successful night! You girls are amazing and without everyone’s help we couldn’t have done it!
